When traveling, it is best to leave valuable jewelry at home.

Tuck it away in a safe, discreet hiding place, but don't make it so out of the way that you cannot remember your hiding place when you return home. As an alternative, you might ask a trusted friend to keep your valuables for you.

If you do travel with valuables, keep them in an out of the way place in your carry-on. When you arrive at your location, lock valuables in the room or hotel safe overnight or while you are out of the room.
